The Cancer Susceptibility Counseling and Decisions (CASCADE) Study
Welcome to our groundbreaking study for families with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation. The “Cancer Susceptibility Counseling and Decisions” (CASCADE) project is funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and aims to reach adult relatives in families with a BRCA gene mutation with free online genetic education and optional genetic testing. Communication about genetic information within families can be challenging, which is why we are conducting this study. Our goal is to provide critical information that is free and easily accessible for your at-risk relatives.
To be eligible for our study, you must:
- be 21 or older
- have been diagnosed with a BRCA1 or a BRCA2 mutation within the last year
- have one or more siblings, adult children, aunts, uncles, nephews or nieces who have not undergone BRCA1 or BRCA2 testing
