The Cancer Susceptibility Counseling and Decisions (CASCADE) Study

Welcome to our groundbreaking study on BRCA testing and genetic education for families. The “Cancer Susceptibility Counseling and Decisions” (CASCADE) project is funded by the National Cancer Institute and aims to reach adult relatives in families with a BRCA gene mutation with tailored genetic education and optional genetic testing. We understand that communication about genetic information within families can be challenging, which is why we are asking for your help to put us in touch with your untested relatives so that we can send them information about this study.

To be eligible for our study, you must:

  • be 21 or older
  • have been diagnosed with a BRCA1 or a BRCA2 mutation within the last year
  • have one or more first- or second-degree relatives who have not undergone BRCA1 or BRCA2 testing
