Samuel Levy, MS, CGC

Genetic Counselor

Samuel Levy, MS, CGC is a board-certified genetic counselor working with individuals who have a personal or family history of cancer.

Mr. Levy received his bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Pittsburgh. He subsequently joined the Center for Applied Genomics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia working in clinical research involving polygenic risk score testing and pharmacogenomics. He earned a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his graduate thesis studying patients’ decision making in testing for select high-risk genes on multi-gene panel testing for hereditary cancer risk. After finishing his masters, Mr. Levy joined MedStar Health’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in his current role. 

Mr. Levy specializes in helping individuals understand their personal risk of hereditary cancer, options for genetic testing and how testing results could impact their personal health care, as well as the health care of family members.
