Maeve Pierson, BA

Research Assistant

Maeve Pierson joined the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center as a Research Assistant in October 2025. She recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Georgetown University.

Maeve is particularly interested in the behavioral psychology behind health-related decision-making, preventative healthcare, and health policy that supports equitable access to healthy lifestyles.

As an undergraduate, Maeve served as a lead research assistant in Georgetown’s Clinical Aging and Relational Emotion Science (CARES) Lab, where she supported projects investigating interpersonal emotional phenomena in connection with mental and physical health across the life course. She also volunteered as an outdoor education guide, leading pre-orientation trips for incoming students and organizing weekend hikes for undergraduates.

Outside of her academic and research pursuits, Maeve is an avid runner and enjoys exploring local restaurants in her free time. She plans to pursue graduate studies in behavioral psychology and aims to build a career in health research and policy.
