Elizabeth Stark, MS, LCGC, is a licensed and certified genetic with the GW Cancer Center. Ms. Stark is the founding counselor of the Ruth Paul Hereditary Cancer and Prevention Service at GW, and has been a practicing genetic counselor since launching her genetics career at UCSF in 2010. Ms. Stark is currently collaborating with colleagues at Georgetown on an NIH funded randomized trial to facilitate cascade testing in relatives at risk for a familial BRCA1/2 mutation. Prior to genetic counseling, Ms. Stark taught 7th grade life science through Teach for America in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Stark enjoys bringing her interests in genetics and education together to help families impacted by hereditary cancer.
Ms. Stark is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling, licensed in CA, VA, and CT, and an active member of both the American College of Medical Genetics and the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
