Dr. Feldman is an attending breast surgeon at Reston Hospital. She received her MD cum laude in 1998 from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed residencies at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Georgetown University Hospital. She completed a surgical oncology basic science and clinical research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute from 2001-2004. From 2007-2008, she worked at the Anne Arundel Medical Center, where she was a Breast Surgery Fellow for the Society for Surgical Oncology. She was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University following her breast surgery fellowship. Dr. Feldman is interested in the clinical follow-up of high-risk women, including those with BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations, as well as women receiving uninformative genetic testing results. She is also interested in issues facing young women with a breast cancer diagnosis, including fertility concerns.
