Costanza Cocilovo, MD
Breast Surgeon
Dr. Cocilovo is a board-certified surgeon, fellowship-trained in breast surgery, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Georgetown. A graduate of Stanford University, she received her M.D. from the New York Medical College, completing her residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan. She subsequently pursued externships and fellowships at Beth Israel Hospital, NY Presbyterian Cornell Medical Center and Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Cocilovo is a co-investigator on a study about genetic counseling in newly diagnosed breast cancer patients at Georgetown. She recently co-authored a paper with her Georgetown colleague, Dr. Shawna Willey, entitled, “Screening and follow-up of the patient at high risk for breast cancer” published in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology.
