Aimee Martin, MGC, CGC, CG(ASCP)CM received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Indiana University, Bloomington and her Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2007. She completed a hereditary cancer fellowship at the Yale Cancer Center in 2006. Prior to becoming a genetic counselor she worked as a cytogenetic technologist in several laboratories in the Washington D.C. metro area. She is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling as well as the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Her interests include risk assessment for inherited gastrointestinal syndromes and other rare disorders as well as ethical issues in genetic counseling and testing.
