Anna Chloe Farkas, MGC, CGC is a certified genetic counselor who is actively involved in clinical services for patients with hereditary colon, breast and ovarian cancers. She sees patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital. She provides risk counseling to individuals with a personal and/or family history of cancer, and addresses such issues as cancer screening, genetic testing, and psychosocial concerns regarding genetic risk. Ms. Farkas is committed to education in genetics. She is involved in clinical supervision of genetic counseling students and serves on thesis committees. Ms. Farkas received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and English from Case Western Reserve University as well as a Master’s of Genetic Counseling degree from the University of Maryland. She is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
