Genetic Counseling Summer Fellowship

In 2010, the Fisher Center will sponsor the 3rd annual summer genetic counseling fellowship. This is a 10 week paid fellowship at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, DC. Innovative, hands on trans-disciplinary training is provided in clinical cancer genetics, medical oncology and surgery, behavioral research, and bioethics. The fellowship is designed to be responsive to the interests and unique needs of the trainee.

Our inaugural award was made to McKinsey Goodenberger, MS, then a new graduate from the UW-Madison program. In 2009, Amanda Knoth, BS, a student at Stanford University, became our second genetic counseling fellow. Click here to read more about their summer experiences.

Applications for 2010 are due February 8, 2010.
